Trustworthy, reasonable, patient, friendly, prompt, helpful, communicative, understanding… We tried several dentists before we landed here several (7?) years ago. I so appreciate having a dentist I can trust. His staff is wonderful and we always feel like they thoroughly inform us and respectfully allow us to make the best choices for ourselves.

Dr. Lanie and his office is where it’s at! From his office staff to his hygienist, Alyssa, I couldn’t be more happy with them. I’ve always loved going to the dentist all of my life until I had a very traumatic experience at my last dentist. I knew I had to break away from them, and it was some of these Google reviews that helped me make the switch for myself and my family. From the first phone call and all the way through to Dr. Lanie’s chair, everything is so smooth and pleasant! They are so good with our kids too! I could go on and on about how great they are! I haven’t been to a dentist in an embarrassingly long amount of time. Prior to my initial appointment I had all the feelings of shame and guilt about not making my dental health a priority. But I took the plunge and decided 2024 is the year to make my health a priority. Right from the beginning I was treated with kindness and dignity by Dr Lanie and the staff at Lanie Family Dentistry. I appreciate that Dr Lanie treats me with respect and adjusts to my special needs. He and his assistants take the time to explain what they are doing and why they are performing a certain procedure. For me this is very important and it helps calms my anxiety and apprehension. Everyone at Lanie Family Dentistry was great! I had a dental emergency that was quickly and efficiently taken care of. They provided options and advice for my care but were not pushy. Dr. Lanie and his staff are friendly, fastidious and highly recommended. In fact, I went to him because of a friend’s recommendation. My friend was going to a different dentist and was switching to Dr. Lanie, because he said his wife, a Riley hospital nurse, “wouldn’t take their children anywhere else”. My wife went to Dr. Lanie first. She is my dental barometer, because she is much more critical and fearful of the dental procedures than I. She had several procedures done and was happy with how they went and how she was treated by Joel and his associates. Upon my first visit, not only were X-rays taken, pictures of my teeth were also taken. The exam was as detailed and professional as I had ever experienced. Dr. Lanie found a slight crack in one tooth and a small hole in a gold crown that my former dentist only 6-months before, didn’t find. I equate that to the pictures, but also to Dr. Lanie’s thoroughness. I also appreciate that following one of his procedures, Dr. Lanie personally phones to make sure all is going well. This is another instance where Joel does more than what is simply required; it is another example of how meticulous Joel is and how much care and pride he takes in his performance and also in his staff’s. -Mike B.

This was the best experience I have ever had at a dentist! I have always dreaded going to the dentist and avoided it for years. I interacted with Dr. Lanie and 4 of his staff during my visit and every single one of them were so kind and gentle, while being thorough and friendly as well! I can not say enough good things and plan to use them always! You will not be disappointed!!

Another easy trip to the dentist office last week. Alyssa does terrific work with my teeth cleaning plus I got a fluoride treatment with choice of flavors (but no bourbon chocolate yet). Then Dr. Lanie checked out my teeth and said everything was A-Okay. I’ve been really happy with Lanie Family Dentistry. They help me keep my teeth healthy and I appreciate how efficient my check-ups & cleanings are. I especially like how convenient they are for me here in the Center Grove area.

I lost a front tooth crown on my way home for vacation. (Clarification: Dr. Lanie was not the dentist who put it on.) I called the office, left a message and was scheduled for an appointment, quickly. Crown was painlessly put back. I appreciate the care and compassion concerning dental needs that Dr. Lanie and his staff exhibit on each visit.

I had a wonderful experience from the moment I walked in the doors to the moment I walked out. Dr. Lanie and staff are very kind, helpful, and go the extra mile to make sure you feel comfortable and informed. You can tell they care about their patients and take pride in their work. I would highly recommend their service.

Melissa as well as Dr Lanie and the front office lady were fantastic! They took time to listen to my concerns for my 4yr old being comfortable and happy with her experience. She was over the moon and squealing about how much she loved her new dentist so much! This is what we need more of in the word. Every single time I have been in here, it’s always been a wonderful experience! I love the staff! Every single one of them are extremely nice and make sure you’re comfortable during cleanings and procedures! Dr Lanie makes sure you understand what’s going on and explains everything. Dr. Lanie and his staff are phenomenal. Though he isn’t a “pediatric dentist,” he’s the best one on the south side. I have two young children, and I have been utterly amazed at his ability to put them at ease in order to get necessary dental work done. My wife and I are thankful to have him as our family dentist.

Dr. Lanie and his staff are excellent. They are very professional and provide quality work. I went to his office in hopes he would be able to help make my smile slightly better. I did not believe him when he said it could be close to perfect and in 6 months. My experience was amazing, I have always been a little afraid of the dentist but Dr. Lanie made sure I was completely comfortable. I love my new smile and can not thank Lanie Family Dentistry enough.
